What is The Tutor Exchange?
The Tutor Exchange is a university-wide site for tutoring and demonstrating positions at ANU. It allows positions to be advertised and maintained, and, tutors to profile and update their information. The Exchange allows Colleges to find the best people for the job and also allows tutors to get a foot in the door of the tutoring world on an equal and transparent platform. The Tutors@ANU Exchange is maintained by the Tutors Support Network who can be contacted on tutors@anu.edu.au for help or suggestions to the site.
In all sections of the Tutors@ANU site, including the Exchange and Community, and even the Tutors Support Network, we use the term Tutor to cover ALL positions and roles in the university that may be demonstrating positions, different undrstanding of tutoring, casual or sessional teaching, lecturing within Higher Education. We are also working on collaborations with the University of South Australia to allow access for UniSA positions to be advertised on this site; allowing even more opportunities for our Tutors and our University collaborations.
The Tutor Exchange is a flexible system designed to couple with exiting processes already in place within the university local areas. There are five criteria that are requested when creating a Tutor profile or Job that allow a 'matching srvice' to be operated in the system. The matching service will send automated emails to your account listing all available and suitable matches, whether they are Tutors or Jobs.
The Tutor Exchange has two sections; Tutors and Jobs. The Tutors section is where tutors and demonstrators profiles are created, where the profiles can be maintained and tutors can search for positions.The Jobs section is where positions are created, maintained or searches for Tutors can be made. Upon logging-in with your ANU Horus/ISIS Id. and password an authentification email will be sent to your selected email address. You will need to use the new automatically generated password sent to your email address in order to access the system.
