Tutors and demonstrators are essential components of the teaching and learning activity of the ANU.

This web site is designed to assist all tutors and demonstrators, and those aspiring to become tutors and demonstrators, to meet the high expectations placed upon them.

The Tutors@ANU site offers on-the-spot general information to support and guide our tutors and demonstrators. It includes information on thinking about tutoring, Skills Development including inductions and orientations, information on current pay and conditions, links to Excellence Awards for tutoring and demonstrating, Hints and Tips of the trade, Interesting stuff, where to find help, and a 'search all text' to find uncommon answers.

The Tutor Exchange matches prospective tutors with tutoring jobs.  If you are a course co-ordinator and would like to advertise a job and find suitable tutors, or if you are a prospective tutor and would like to indicate your availability to teach certain subjects during particular sessions, instructions on how to do so are available here:

The Tutors' Community has forums for ANU tutors (past, present and prospective).  It has blogs written by experienced tutors on their experiences.  It is also where you can join the ANU tutor's support network.

The Tutors' Community has also been disabled until further notice.
